| And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. | He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy. | Whoever conceals his transgressions will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy. |
| They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes. | They shall hunger no more, neither thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike them, nor any scorching heat. For the Lamb in the midst of the throne will be their shepherd, and he will guide them to springs of living water, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes. |
| And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. | Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. |
| O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever! | Oh that they had such a heart as this always, to fear me and to keep all my commandments, that it might go well with them and with their descendants forever! |
| Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. | Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them. |
| And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. | And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” |
| And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible. | Jesus looked at them and said, “With man it is impossible, but not with God. For all things are possible with God.” |
| Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you. | Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you.” |
| Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent. | Jesus answered them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.” |
| Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. | I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them. |
| So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. | So then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God. |
| And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. | And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.” |
| Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets. | So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets. |
| Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. | Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. |
| And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. | And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. |
