There (4/4)

  • Because in much wisdom there is much grief; and increasing knowledge results in increasing pain.
  • I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith; in the future there is reserved for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day; and not only to me, but also to all who have loved His appearing.
  • For the despairing man there should be kindness from his friend;
So that he does not abandon the fear of the Almighty.
  • For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • Then Job got up, tore his robe, and shaved his head; then he fell to the ground and worshiped. He said,
“Naked I came from my mother’s womb,
And naked I shall return there.
The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away.
Blessed be the name of the Lord.”
  • Jesus said, “Truly I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or farms, for My sake and for the gospel’s sake, but that he will receive a hundred times as much now in the present age, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and farms, along with persecutions; and in the age to come, eternal life.”
  • And the Lord will be King over all the earth; on that day the Lord will be the only one, and His name the only one.
  • Let no unwholesome word come out of your mouth, but if there is any good word for edification according to the need of the moment, say that, so that it will give grace to those who hear.
  • For if either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion. But woe to the one who falls when there is not another to lift him up!
  • For six days work may be done, but on the seventh day there is a Sabbath of complete rest, a holy convocation. You shall not do any work; it is a Sabbath to the Lord in all your dwellings.
  • Through overconfidence comes nothing but strife,
But wisdom is with those who receive counsel.
  • Now Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath. And there was a woman who for eighteen years had had a sickness caused by a spirit; and she was bent over double, and could not straighten up at all. When Jesus saw her, He called her over and said to her, “Woman, you are freed from your sickness.” And He laid His hands on her; and immediately she stood up straight again, and began glorifying God. But the synagogue leader, indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, began saying to the crowd in response, “There are six days during which work should be done; so come during them and get healed, and not on the Sabbath day.” But the Lord answered him and said, “You hypocrites, does each of you on the Sabbath not untie his ox or donkey from the stall and lead it away to water it? And this woman, a daughter of Abraham as she is, whom Satan has bound for eighteen long years, should she not have been released from this restraint on the Sabbath day?” And as He said this, all His opponents were being humiliated; and the entire crowd was rejoicing over all the glorious things being done by Him.
  • Oh, Lord God! Behold, You Yourself have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and by Your outstretched arm! Nothing is too difficult for You.
  • Without consultation, plans are frustrated,
But with many counselors they succeed.
  • For Christ is the end of the Law for righteousness to everyone who believes.
  • Do not be mismatched with unbelievers; for what do righteousness and lawlessness share together, or what does light have in common with darkness?
  • But sexual immorality or any impurity or greed must not even be mentioned among you, as is proper among saints.
  • And tongues that looked like fire appeared to them, distributing themselves, and a tongue rested on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with different tongues, as the Spirit was giving them the ability to speak out.
  • When good things increase, those who consume them increase. So what is the advantage to their owners except to look at them?
  • Greater love has no one than this, that a person will lay down his life for his friends.
  • But godliness actually is a means of great gain when accompanied by contentment.
  • If only they had such a heart in them, to fear Me and keep all My commandments always, so that it would go well with them and with their sons forever!
  • Now a mediator is not for one party only; but God is only one.
  • All day long he is craving,
While the righteous gives and does not hold back.
  • All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him not even one thing came into being that has come into being.
