- Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.

- So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.

- Because by the works of the Law none of mankind will be justified in His sight; for through the Law comes knowledge of sin.
- So Peter was kept in the prison, but prayer for him was being made to God intensely by the church.
- Consequently, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God. For the one who has entered His rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from His.
- We love, because He first loved us.
- So then, let’s not sleep as others do, but let’s be alert and sober.
- So remove sorrow from your heart and keep pain away from your body, because childhood and the prime of life are fleeting.
- Now then, do away with the foreign gods which are in your midst, and incline your hearts to the Lord, the God of Israel.
- Pay to all what is due them: tax to whom tax is due; custom to whom custom; respect to whom respect; honor to whom honor.
- But as for me, I will be on the watch for the Lord;
I will wait for the God of my salvation.
My God will hear me. - The beginning of wisdom is: Acquire wisdom;
And with all your possessions, acquire understanding. - So when you give to the poor, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, so that they will be praised by people. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full.
The end of all things is near; therefore, be of sound judgment and sober spirit for the purpose of prayer. Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor those habitually drunk, nor verbal abusers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God.Next verse!With image
