- Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry.
- Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you.
- So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.

These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ.When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone.
