| For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O Lord, thou knowest it altogether. | A word is not even on my tongue and you, O Lord, are completely aware of it. |
| Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. | Where can I go to hide from your spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I ascend to the heavens, you are there; if I take my rest in the netherworld, you are also there. |

| And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. | I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. | You created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am wonderfully made; awesome are your works, as I know very well. |
| I thank thee, and praise thee, O thou God of my fathers, who hast given me wisdom and might, and hast made known unto me now what we desired of thee: for thou hast now made known unto us the king's matter. | To you, O God of my fathers, I offer thanks and praise because you have given me wisdom and power. | For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. | For the entire Law can be summed up in a single commandment: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” |
