It is a trap to dedicate something rashly and only later to consider one’s vows.It is a snare to the man who devoureth that which is holy, and after vows to make enquiry.

Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to act.Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it.
Teach slaves to be subject to their masters in everything, to try to please them, not to talk back to them, and not to steal from them, but to show that they can be fully trusted, so that in every way they will make the teaching about God our Savior attractive.Exhort servants to be obedient unto their own masters, and to please them well in all things; not answering again; Not purloining, but shewing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things.
He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.
He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.”And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love.And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
It is to one’s honor to avoid strife, but every fool is quick to quarrel.It is an honour for a man to cease from strife: but every fool will be meddling.
I will sing to the Lord all my life; I will sing praise to my God as long as I live.I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.
Do not turn to the right or the left; keep your foot from evil.Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.
So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
Do not wear yourself out to get rich; do not trust your own cleverness.Labour not to be rich: cease from thine own wisdom.
Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it?For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?
“And with you, Lord, is unfailing love”; and, “You reward everyone according to what they have done.”Also unto thee, O Lord, belongeth mercy: for thou renderest to every man according to his work.
Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.
For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you.For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
Moreover, when God gives someone wealth and possessions, and the ability to enjoy them, to accept their lot and be happy in their toil—this is a gift of God.Every man also to whom God hath given riches and wealth, and hath given him power to eat thereof, and to take his portion, and to rejoice in his labour; this is the gift of God.
So Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for him.For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake.
I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
