The wealth of the rich is their fortified city; they imagine it a wall too high to scale.The rich man’s wealth is his strong city, like an unscalable wall in his own imagination.

The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.One who has my commandments and keeps them, that person is one who loves me. We who are Jews by birth and not sinful Gentiles know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. Sin is not ended by multiplying words, but the prudent hold their tongues.In the multitude of words there is no lack of disobedience, but he who restrains his lips does wisely.
When all the people were being baptized, Jesus was baptized too. And as he was praying, heaven was opened and the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: “You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.”Now when all the people were baptized, Jesus also had been baptized and was praying. The sky was opened, and the Holy Spirit descended in a bodily form like a dove on him; and a voice came out of the sky, saying “You are my beloved Son. In you I am well pleased.”
And by faith even Sarah, who was past childbearing age, was enabled to bear children because she considered him faithful who had made the promise.By faith even Sarah herself received power to conceive, and she bore a child when she was past age, since she counted him faithful who had promised.
In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.In the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don’t know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can’t be uttered.
Whoever pursues righteousness and love finds life, prosperity and honor.He who follows after righteousness and kindness finds life, righteousness, and honor.
Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.Watch therefore, for you don’t know in what hour your Lord comes.
They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.”They said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”
‘For in him we live and move and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’‘For in him we live, move, and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also his offspring.’
This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God’s servants, who give their full time to governing.For this reason you also pay taxes, for they are servants of God’s service, continually doing this very thing.
Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited.Be of the same mind one toward another. Don’t set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Don’t be wise in your own conceits.
For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus.
As for you, see that what you have heard from the beginning remains in you. If it does, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father.Therefore, as for you, let that remain in you which you heard from the beginning. If that which you heard from the beginning remains in you, you also will remain in the Son, and in the Father.
Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted.Brothers, even if a man is caught in some fault, you who are spiritual must restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, looking to yourself so that you also aren’t tempted.

To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.To whom God was pleased to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
