- May mercy, peace, and love be granted you in abundance.
- Thus there are three things that endure: faith, hope, and love,

but if we love one another,
God abides in us,

Everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. - I give you a new commandment:
love one another.
Just as I have loved you,
so you should also love one another. - Above all, maintain the fervor of your love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins.
- Everything that you do should be done in love.
- If someone says, “I love God,”
but at the same time hates his brother,
he is a liar.
For whoever does not love the brother
whom he has seen
cannot love God whom he has not seen. - Only goodness and kindness will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
forever and ever. - Your kindness is a greater joy than life itself;
thus my lips will speak your praise.
I will bless you all my life;
with uplifted hands I will call on your name. - Be mindful, O Lord, that mercy and kindness
have been yours from of old.
Remember not the sins of my youth
or my many transgressions,
but remember me in your kindness,
for the sake of your goodness, O Lord. - Keep in mind, therefore, that the Lord, your God, is God. He is a faithful God who keeps his covenant of mercy to the thousandth generation toward those who love him and observe his commandments.
- If you keep my commandments,
you will remain in my love,
just as I have kept my Father’s commandments
and remain in his love. - Hatred stirs up strife,
but love overlooks all offenses. - But I will sing of your strength;
when morning dawns, I will proclaim your kindness.
For you have been my fortress,
my refuge in times of trouble. - Beloved,
since God loved us so much,
we should love one another. - This is my commandment:
love one another
as I have loved you. - The second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
- Let your love be sincere. Loathe what is evil and hold fast to what is good.
- Love is patient;
love is charitable.
Love is not envious;
it does not have an inflated opinion of itself;
it is not filled with its own importance.
Love is never rude;
it does not seek its own advantage.
It is not prone to anger;
neither does it brood over setbacks. - And the Word became flesh
and dwelt among us.
And we saw his glory,
the glory as of the Father’s only Son,
full of grace and truth. - No one can have greater love
than to lay down his life for his friends. - Those who love your law have great peace;
they encounter no stumbling blocks. - This is the commandment
we have received from him:
whoever loves God
must also love his brother.
