And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us. | This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. |
Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? | Or do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus have been baptized into His death? |
|
Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me. | Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I. Send me!” |
But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. | For to us God revealed them through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God. |
Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. | In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. |
For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory. | For our momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison. |
For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. | For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us. |
Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. | It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery. |
Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost. | He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we did in righteousness, but in accordance with His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit. |
Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. | Now in the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know what to pray for as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. |
Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. | We know love by this, that He laid down His life for us; and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers and sisters. |
Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) | Let’s hold firmly to the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. |
In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. | By this the love of God was revealed in us, that God has sent His only Son into the world so that we may live through Him. |
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? | Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or trouble, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? |
Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. | Therefore let’s approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace for help at the time of our need. |
He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea. | He will again take pity on us; He will trample on our wrongdoings. Yes, You will cast all their sins Into the depths of the sea. |
Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah. | Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears our burden, The God who is our salvation. Selah |

And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. | We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who remains in love remains in God, and God remains in him. |
Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. | Therefore let’s make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall by following the same example of disobedience. |
And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. | Let’s not become discouraged in doing good, for in due time we will reap, if we do not become weary. |

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. | And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us; and we saw His glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. |
Save now, I beseech thee, O Lord: O Lord, I beseech thee, send now prosperity. Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the Lord: we have blessed you out of the house of the Lord. | Please, O Lord, do save us; Please, O Lord, do send prosperity! Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord; We have blessed you from the house of the Lord. |
