Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. | Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. |
He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God? | He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God? |

Abba, Father, all things are possible for you. Remove this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will. | Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt. |
For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul? | For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? |
The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me? | The Lord is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me? |
The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable, but the mouth of the wicked, what is perverse. | The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable: but the mouth of the wicked speaketh frowardness. |
Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? | Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? |
What is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him? | What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? |
For if the readiness is there, it is acceptable according to what a person has, not according to what he does not have. | For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not. |
Then what if you were to see the Son of Man ascending to where he was before? | What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before? |
For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul? | For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? |
Therefore, stay awake, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming. | Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. |
Do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat, nor about your body, what you will put on. For life is more than food, and the body more than clothing. | Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on. The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment. |
Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? | Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? |
What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? | What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? |
In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I shall not be afraid. What can flesh do to me? | In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me. |
What then? Are we to sin because we are not under law but under grace? By no means! | What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. |
So we can confidently say, “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?” | So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me. |
He reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with him. | He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him. |
Having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints. | The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints. |
And if you do good to those who do good to you, what benefit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. | And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same. |
And Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” And they cast lots to divide his garments. | Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots. |
But he said, “What is impossible with man is possible with God.” | And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God. |
But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience. | But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. |
I am coming soon. Hold fast what you have, so that no one may seize your crown. | Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. |
