- However, whoever lives by the truth
comes to the light
so that it may be clearly seen
that his deeds have been done in God. - If anyone wishes to serve me,
he must follow me.
Where I am,
there also will my servant be.
If anyone serves me,
my Father will honor that person. - In love there is no fear;
indeed, perfect love casts out fear,
because fear has to do with punishment,
and whoever fears
has not yet achieved perfection in love. - A patient man shows good sense,
but a quick-tempered man displays the height of folly. - I am the living bread that came down from heaven.
Whoever eats this bread will live forever;
and the bread that I will give
is my flesh, for the life of the world. - We have come to know
and to believe in
the love that God has for us.
God is love,
and whoever abides in love
abides in God,
and God in him. - And whoever does not provide for relatives, especially for those who are living with him, has disowned the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
- I am the vine,
you are the branches.
Whoever abides in me, and I in him,
will bear much fruit.
Apart from me you can do nothing. - Anyone who has received my commandments
and observes them
is the one who loves me.
And whoever loves me
will be loved by my Father,
and I will love him
and reveal myself to him. - Remember this: if you sow sparingly, you will reap sparingly, and if you sow generously, you will reap generously as well.
- He then called the people and his disciples to him and said to them, “Anyone who wishes to follow me must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.”
- If someone says, “I love God,”
but at the same time hates his brother,
he is a liar.
For whoever does not love the brother
whom he has seen
cannot love God whom he has not seen. - I am the gate.
Anyone who enters through me
will be saved.
He will go in and out
and will find pasture. - One who forgives a misdeed fosters friendship,
but he who divulges it separates good friends. - If anyone is rich in worldly possessions
and sees a brother in need
but refuses to open his heart,
how can the love of God abide in him? - Jesus addressed them once again, saying,
“I am the light of the world.
The one who follows me
will never walk in darkness.
Rather, he will have the light of life.” - Everyone who sins breaks the law,
for sin is lawlessness. - Therefore, since Christ suffered in the flesh, you should arm yourselves also with the same intention. For anyone who has suffered in the flesh has finished with sin.
- One who finds a wife finds happiness
and receives favor from the Lord. - Jesus answered him,
“Whoever loves me will keep my word,
and my Father will love him,
and we will come to him
and make our abode with him.” - A generous person will be enriched;
he who refreshes others will also be refreshed. - Like a city that has been breached and made defenseless
is the man devoid of self-control. - Jesus replied,
“Amen, amen, I say to you,
everyone who sins
is a slave of sin.” - The father of a good man will rejoice;
he who begets a wise son will delight in him. - Wealth hastily acquired will dwindle away,
but when amassed little by little, it will increase.
To him all the Prophets bear witness that everyone who believes in him will receive forgiveness of sins through his name.Who is this King of glory?
The Lord of hosts:
he is the King of glory. Selah With all humility, gentleness, and patience, bearing with one another in a spirit of love.Next verse!With image
