Chinese (traditional)Bible Verses about 'Why'
- Why are you in despair, my soul?
Why are you disturbed within me?
Hope in God! For I shall still praise him,
the saving help of my countenance, and my God. - I fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to me, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?’
- Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but don’t consider the beam that is in your own eye?
- Now why do you wait? Arise, be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord.
- Don’t say, “Why were the former days better than these?” For you do not ask wisely about this.
- But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep back part of the price of the land? While you kept it, didn’t it remain your own? After it was sold, wasn’t it in your power? How is it that you have conceived this thing in your heart? You haven’t lied to men, but to God.”
- While they were looking steadfastly into the sky as he went, behold, two men stood by them in white clothing, who also said, “You men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This Jesus, who was received up from you into the sky, will come back in the same way as you saw him going into the sky.”
- Why do you set your eyes on that which is not?
For it certainly sprouts wings like an eagle and flies in the sky. - I made a covenant with my eyes;
how then should I look lustfully at a young woman? - I, even I, am he who comforts you.
Who are you, that you are afraid of man who shall die,
and of the son of man who will be made as grass? - He was going on the Sabbath day through the grain fields; and his disciples began, as they went, to pluck the ears of grain. The Pharisees said to him, “Behold, why do they do that which is not lawful on the Sabbath day?”
He said to them, “Did you never read what David did when he had need and was hungry—he, and those who were with him? How he entered into God’s house at the time of Abiathar the high priest, and ate the show bread, which is not lawful to eat except for the priests, and gave also to those who were with him?”
He said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. Therefore the Son of Man is lord even of the Sabbath.” - For this reason you also pay taxes, for they are servants of God’s service, continually doing this very thing.
- Therefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in injuries, in necessities, in persecutions, and in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then am I strong.
- Yahweh God made a woman from the rib which he had taken from the man, and brought her to the man. The man said, “This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh. She will be called ‘woman,’ because she was taken out of Man.” Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh.
- Yahweh is my light and my salvation.
Whom shall I fear?
Yahweh is the strength of my life.
Of whom shall I be afraid? - My mouth shall be filled with your praise,
with your honor all day long. - See how great a love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God! For this cause the world doesn’t know us, because it didn’t know him.
- But from the beginning of the creation, God made them male and female. For this cause a man will leave his father and mother, and will join to his wife, and the two will become one flesh, so that they are no longer two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate.
- Aren’t five sparrows sold for two assaria coins? Not one of them is forgotten by God. But the very hairs of your head are all counted. Therefore don’t be afraid. You are of more value than many sparrows.
- Those who are in the flesh can’t please God.
- He answered, “Haven’t you read that he who made them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother, and shall be joined to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh’? So that they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, don’t let man tear apart.”
- If you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same.
- Therefore we don’t faint, but though our outward person is decaying, yet our inward person is renewed day by day.
- In God, I praise his word.
In God, I put my trust.
I will not be afraid.
What can flesh do to me? - “Yet even now,” says Yahweh, “turn to me with all your heart,
and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning.”
Don’t think that I came to destroy the law or the prophets. I didn’t come to destroy, but to fulfill.Who is this King of glory?
Yahweh of Armies is the King of glory! Selah. He who is slow to anger has great understanding,
but he who has a quick temper displays folly.Next verse! With image
