- You shall not oppress the widow or the orphan. If you mistreat them and they cry out to me for help, I will surely hear their cry, and my fury will burn and I will put you to death by the sword. Your wives will be widows and your children will be orphans.
- Wealth hastily acquired will dwindle away,
but when amassed little by little, it will increase. - Entrust your cares to the Lord,
and he will uphold you;
he will never allow the righteous to waver. - Heal me, O Lord, and I will be healed;
save me, and I will be saved;
you are the one whom I praise. - The Lord will protect you against all evil;
he will watch over your life.
The Lord will watch over your coming and your going
both now and forevermore. - If you love me,
you will keep my commandments. - For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it.
- I will place my rainbow in the clouds and it will be a sign of the covenant between me and the earth.
- Your kindness is a greater joy than life itself;
thus my lips will speak your praise.
I will bless you all my life;
