The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came so that they would have life, and have it abundantly.A thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I have come that they may have life, and have it in abundance.
For if we have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall also be in the likeness of His resurrection, knowing this, that our old self was crucified with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin.For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall also be united with him in his resurrection. We know that our old self was crucified with him, so that our sinful body might be destroyed and we might no longer be enslaved to sin.
It is not this way among you, but whoever wants to become prominent among you shall be your servant, and whoever desires to be first among you shall be your slave. This must not be so with you. Instead, whoever wishes to be great among you must be your servant, and whoever wishes to be first among you must be your servant.
And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for the one who comes to God must believe that He exists, and that He proves to be One who rewards those who seek Him.But without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever comes to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.
For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified. For I resolved that, while I was with you, I would know nothing except Jesus Christ—and him crucified.
And if he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church; and if he refuses to listen even to the church, he is to be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector. If he refuses to listen to them, report it to the Church. And if he refuses to listen to the Church, treat him as you would a Gentile or a tax collector.
So that, as sin reigned in death, so also grace would reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.Hence, as sin’s reign resulted in death, so the grace of God also might reign through righteousness resulting in eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
That they were saying to you, “In the last time there will be mockers, following after their own ungodly lusts.” These are the ones who cause divisions, worldly-minded, devoid of the Spirit. For they said to you, “In the final age there will be scoffers who will follow their own ungodly passions.” It is these people who create divisions, who follow their natural instincts and do not possess the Spirit.
Or do you think that I cannot appeal to My Father, and He will at once put at My disposal more than twelve legions of angels?Do you suppose that I cannot appeal to my Father for help and he will not immediately send me more than twelve legions of angels?
What then if you see the Son of Man ascending to where He was before? What then if you were to behold the Son of Man ascend to where he was before?
For you have been called for this purpose, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you would follow in His steps. This, in fact, is what you have been called to do, because Christ himself suffered for you and left an example for you to follow in his footsteps.
And he would answer and say to them, “The one who has two tunics is to share with the one who has none; and the one who has food is to do likewise.”He said to them in reply, “Anyone who has two coats must share with the person who has none, and whoever has food must do likewise.”
I have rejoiced in the way of Your testimonies, As much as in all riches.I rejoice in following your statutes more than I would rejoice in endless riches.
Not returning evil for evil or insult for insult, but giving a blessing instead; for you were called for the very purpose that you would inherit a blessing.Do not repay evil with evil or abuse with abuse. On the contrary, repay with a blessing. This is what you were called to do, so that you might inherit a blessing.
For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake, this is the one who will save it.For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it.
For which one of you, when he wants to build a tower, does not first sit down and calculate the cost, to see if he has enough to complete it?Which one of you, intending to build a tower, would not first sit down and estimate the cost, to see whether he has sufficient funds for its completion?
For whoever wants to save his life will lose it; but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.
See how great a love the Father has given us, that we would be called children of God; and in fact we are. For this reason the world does not know us: because it did not know Him.See what love the Father has bestowed on us, enabling us to be called the children of God, and that is what we are. If the world does not recognize us, that is because it did not know him.
You have been severed from Christ, you who are seeking to be justified by the Law; you have fallen from grace. Those of you who seek to be justified by the Law have cut yourselves off from Christ and have fallen away from grace.

For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it.For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and the sake of the gospel will save it.
Now I make known to you, brothers and sisters, the gospel which I preached to you, which you also received, in which you also stand, by which you also are saved, if you hold firmly to the word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain. And now, brethren, I want to remind you of the gospel I proclaimed to you, which you received and in which you stand firm. Through it you are also being saved, provided that you are holding fast to what I proclaimed to you. If not, then you have believed in vain.

He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things? He did not spare his own Son but gave him up for all of us. How then can he fail also to give us everything else along with him?
