The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came so that they would have life, and have it abundantly.The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

It is not this way among you, but whoever wants to become prominent among you shall be your servant, and whoever desires to be first among you shall be your slave.Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant. And whoever desires to be first among you, let him be your slave.
And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for the one who comes to God must believe that He exists, and that He proves to be One who rewards those who seek Him.But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified.For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.
And if he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church; and if he refuses to listen even to the church, he is to be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector.And if he refuses to hear them, tell it to the church. But if he refuses even to hear the church, let him be to you like a heathen and a tax collector.
So that, as sin reigned in death, so also grace would reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.So that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
That they were saying to you, “In the last time there will be mockers, following after their own ungodly lusts.” These are the ones who cause divisions, worldly-minded, devoid of the Spirit.How they told you that there would be mockers in the last time who would walk according to their own ungodly lusts. These are sensual persons, who cause divisions, not having the Spirit.
Or do you think that I cannot appeal to My Father, and He will at once put at My disposal more than twelve legions of angels?Or do you think that I cannot now pray to My Father, and He will provide Me with more than twelve legions of angels?
What then if you see the Son of Man ascending to where He was before?What then if you should see the Son of Man ascend where He was before?
For you have been called for this purpose, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you would follow in His steps.For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps.
And he would answer and say to them, “The one who has two tunics is to share with the one who has none; and the one who has food is to do likewise.”He answered and said to them, “He who has two tunics, let him give to him who has none; and he who has food, let him do likewise.”

See how great a love the Father has given us, that we would be called children of God; and in fact we are. For this reason the world does not know us: because it did not know Him.Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! And He was saying to them all, “If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow Me.”Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.”
For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it.For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it.
Now I make known to you, brothers and sisters, the gospel which I preached to you, which you also received, in which you also stand, by which you also are saved, if you hold firmly to the word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain.Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you—unless you believed in vain.
By faith even Sarah herself received ability to conceive, even beyond the proper time of life, since she considered Him faithful who had promised.By faith Sarah herself also received strength to conceive seed, and she bore a child when she was past the age, because she judged Him faithful who had promised.
He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things?He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?

And sitting down, He called the twelve and said to them, “If anyone wants to be first, he shall be last of all and servant of all.”And He sat down, called the twelve, and said to them, “If anyone desires to be first, he shall be last of all and servant of all.”
