Chinese (traditional)- Observe my Sabbaths and stand in awe before my sanctuary. I am the Lord.
- I love you, O Lord, my strength,
O Lord, my rock, my fortress, my deliverer.
My God is my rock in whom I take refuge,
my shield and the horn of my salvation,
my stronghold. - Give thanks to the Lord, invoke his name;
proclaim his deeds among the peoples. - Taste and see that the Lord is good;
blessed is the man who takes refuge in him. - For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
nor are your ways my ways, says the Lord. - The righteous call out, and the Lord hears them;
he rescues them from all their troubles.
The Lord remains close to the brokenhearted,
and he saves those whose spirit is crushed. - Restore us, O Lord of hosts;
let your face shine upon us,
and we will be saved. - The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed,
a refuge in times of distress. - The misfortunes of the righteous man are many,
but the Lord delivers him, from all of them. - I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord;
I have no good apart from you.” - Sing praise to the Lord for his mighty deeds;
let this be known throughout the entire world. - Some trust in chariots, and some in horses,
but we trust in the name of the Lord, our God. - The Lord loves righteousness and justice;
the earth is filled with his kindness. - The Lord God made clothing for the man and woman out of animal skins and he clothed them.
- The Lord abhors lying lips,
but he delights in those who are truthful. - I keep the Lord always before me,
for with him at my right hand
I will never fall. - I, the Lord, am your God. You must obey my laws and be careful to observe my ordinances. Keep holy my Sabbaths as a sign between me and you so that you will know that I am the Lord, your God.
- A house and wealth are inherited from parents,
but a prudent wife is a gift from the Lord. - The Lord is slow to anger but great in power,
and he will never allow the guilty
to escape punishment.
He makes his way in whirlwind and storm,
and the clouds are the dust beneath his feet. - And so now, O Israel, what does the Lord, your God, require of you but to fear the Lord, your God, to walk in all of his ways, to love him, to serve the Lord, your God, with all your heart and all your soul, and to observe the commandments and the statutes that I am giving you today for your own good.
- I will offer praise to you, O Lord,
with my whole heart;
I will recount all your wondrous deeds. - Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
his mercy endures forever. - Alleluia.
Blessed is the man who fears the Lord,
who greatly delights in his precepts. - In peace I lie down and sleep,
for only with your help, O Lord,
can I rest secure. - Truly, you bless the righteous, O Lord;
you surround them with your goodwill as with a shield.
See what love
the Father has bestowed on us,
enabling us to be called the children of God,
and that is what we are.
If the world does not recognize us,
that is because it did not know him.
