| Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. | You want something and do not have it; so you commit murder. And you covet something and cannot obtain it; so you engage in disputes and conflicts. You do not have, because you do not ask. |
| Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. | So I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. |

| By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. | By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another. |
| And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. | When you search for me, you will find me; if you seek me with all your heart. |
| The Lord is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you. | The Lord is with you, while you are with him. If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you abandon him, he will abandon you. |

| For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building. | For we are God's servants, working together; you are God's field, God's building. |

| Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full. | Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete. |
| Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? | Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you? |
