Ye (2/4)

Once you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light. For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light.
Continue in all of the ways that the Lord, your God, has commanded you. Continue in them so that you may live and prosper and that you may long dwell on the land of your inheritance. You shall walk in all the ways which the Lord your God has commanded you, that you may live and that it may be well with you, and that you may prolong your days in the land which you shall possess.
And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do as much. And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same.
Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is close at hand.Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!
Seek good and not evil, so that you may live. Then the Lord, the God of hosts, will be with you as you claim he is.Seek good and not evil, That you may live; So the Lord God of hosts will be with you, As you have spoken.
Seek the Lord, all you humble of the land who obey his commands. Seek righteousness, seek humility; then perhaps you may find shelter on the day of the Lord’s anger.Seek the Lord, all you meek of the earth, Who have upheld His justice. Seek righteousness, seek humility. It may be that you will be hidden In the day of the Lord’s anger.
I give you a new commandment: love one another. Just as I have loved you, so you should also love one another.A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.
When they arrest you and bring you to trial, do not be concerned beforehand about what you are to say. Simply say whatever is given to you when that time comes, for it will not be you who speak but the Holy Spirit. But when they arrest you and deliver you up, do not worry beforehand, or premeditate what you will speak. But whatever is given you in that hour, speak that; for it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit.
You will not add to what I command you, nor will you take away from it, so that you might observe the commandments of the Lord, your God, that I am giving you.You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.
Then Jesus said to those Jews who did believe in him, “If you remain faithful to my word, you will truly be my disciples. You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
And let the peace of Christ reign in your hearts, because it was for this that you were called together in one body. Always be thankful. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.
Yet even if you should suffer for doing what is right, you are thereby blessed. Have no fear of others, and refuse to be intimidated by them. But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you are blessed. “And do not be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled.”
Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have received from God, and that you are not your own? You have been purchased at a price. Therefore, glorify God in your body.Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.
Whatever you do, do it wholeheartedly, as if you were doing it for the Lord and not for others, since you know that you will receive from the Lord an inheritance as your reward for you are serving the Lord Christ. And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.
Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you waverers.Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.
Hence, be imitators of God, as beloved children. Therefore be imitators of God as dear children.
You can eat any water creature that has fins and scales; those you can eat. Whatever does not have fins or scales, you are not to eat. It is unclean for you. These you may eat of all that are in the waters: you may eat all that have fins and scales. And whatever does not have fins and scales you shall not eat; it is unclean for you.
You shall be holy, for I, the Lord, am holy. I have chosen you from among all people that you shall be mine. And you shall be holy to Me, for I the Lord am holy, and have separated you from the peoples, that you should be Mine.
If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and remain in his love.If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.
Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful. Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful.
Let what you heard from the beginning remain in you. If what you heard from the beginning remains in you, then you will remain in the Son and in the Father. Therefore let that abide in you which you heard from the beginning. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you also will abide in the Son and in the Father.
This, in fact, is what you have been called to do, because Christ himself suffered for you and left an example for you to follow in his footsteps. For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps.
Although you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with a joy that is indescribable and glorious. For you are achieving the goal of your faith, that is, the salvation of your souls.Whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, receiving the end of your faith—the salvation of your souls.
In everything, deal with others as you would like them to deal with you. This is the Law and the Prophets. Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.

Therefore, heed my words. Do not be concerned about your life and what you will have to eat or drink, or about your body and what you will wear. Surely life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing. Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?
