- Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.

- A joyful heart is good medicine,
but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. - To make an apt answer is a joy to a man,
and a word in season, how good it is! - If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this person's religion is worthless.

- So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone.
- Therefore the Lord waits to be gracious to you,
and therefore he exalts himself to show mercy to you.
For the Lord is a God of justice;
blessed are all those who wait for him. - Who is wise and understanding among you? By his good conduct let him show his works in the meekness of wisdom.
- Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called and about which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
- Now when all the people were baptized, and when Jesus also had been baptized and was praying, the heavens were opened, and the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form, like a dove; and a voice came from heaven, “You are my beloved Son; with you I am well pleased.”
- As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today.
- Iron sharpens iron,
and one man sharpens another. - Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and you are exalted as head above all.
- Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and give no opportunity to the devil.
- Turn away from evil and do good;
seek peace and pursue it. - Therefore you have no excuse, O man, every one of you who judges. For in passing judgment on another you condemn yourself, because you, the judge, practice the very same things.
- Then you will understand righteousness and justice
and equity, every good path.
