Chinese (traditional)- For thy mercy is great unto the heavens,
and thy truth unto the clouds. - Let thine eyes look right on,
and let thine eyelids look straight before thee. - But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
- Now therefore put away, said he, the strange gods which are among you, and incline your heart unto the Lord God of Israel.
- Trust in the Lord with all thine heart;
and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him,
and he shall direct thy paths. - And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.
- Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
- Ponder the path of thy feet,
and let all thy ways be established. - My son, keep thy father's commandment,
and forsake not the law of thy mother. - And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
- And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
- Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.
- Honour the Lord with thy substance,
and with the firstfruits of all thine increase. - Therefore also now, saith the Lord,
turn ye even to me with all your heart,
and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning. - But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
- For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
- Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the Lord is your strength.
- For the Lord your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn away his face from you, if ye return unto him.
- Be not wise in thine own eyes:
fear the Lord, and depart from evil.
It shall be health to thy navel,
and marrow to thy bones. - But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.
- Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on. The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment.
- After this manner therefore pray ye:
Our Father which art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done in earth,
as it is in heaven. - Only fear the Lord, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you.
- But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face; That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly.
- Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him. That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love.Next verse! With image
