Chinese (traditional)- He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
- As in water face answereth to face,
so the heart of man to man. - The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
- Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord,
and whose hope the Lord is.
For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters,
and that spreadeth out her roots by the river,
and shall not see when heat cometh,
but her leaf shall be green;
and shall not be careful in the year of drought,
neither shall cease from yielding fruit. - For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.
- And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning.
- As far as the east is from the west,
so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. - I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies,
as much as in all riches. - There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
- I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live:
I will sing praise to my God while I have my being. - If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
- For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.
- For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.
- For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous;
with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield. - Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.
- Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
- As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.
- Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.
- The Lord God is my strength,
and he will make my feet like hinds' feet,
and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. - A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
- Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high,
and the wilderness be a fruitful field,
and the fruitful field be counted for a forest. - But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear.
- And the Lord turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.
- Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
- And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
And forgive us our debts,
as we forgive our debtors.Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.Next verse!With image
