- For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,

All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel” (which means “God with us”).What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
