Chinese (traditional)Bible Verses about 'Coming after me'
- I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me comes one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.
- Paul said, “John’s baptism was a baptism of repentance. He told the people to believe in the one coming after him, that is, in Jesus.”
- Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done.
- I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.
- He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.”
Amen. Come, Lord Jesus. - And now, dear children, continue in him, so that when he appears we may be confident and unashamed before him at his coming.
- Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.
- The Lord will keep you from all harm—
he will watch over your life;
the Lord will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore. - Whoever does not take up their cross and follow me is not worthy of me.
- Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.
- In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.”
- So after they had fasted and prayed, they placed their hands on them and sent them off.
- “Look, he is coming with the clouds,”
and “every eye will see him,
even those who pierced him”;
and all peoples on earth “will mourn because of him.”
So shall it be! Amen. - Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.”
- After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and he sat at the right hand of God.
- The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
Day after day they pour forth speech;
night after night they reveal knowledge. - After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight.
- No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.
- And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.
- So if anyone tells you, ‘There he is, out in the wilderness,’ do not go out; or, ‘Here he is, in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.
- Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.”
- So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.
- And I saw that all toil and all achievement spring from one person’s envy of another. This too is meaningless, a chasing after the wind.
- I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.
- Keep his decrees and commands, which I am giving you today, so that it may go well with you and your children after you and that you may live long in the land the Lord your God gives you for all time.
This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.How great you are, Sovereign Lord! There is no one like you, and there is no God but you, as we have heard with our own ears. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.Next verse!With image
