Chinese (traditional)- Jesus answered them, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only will you do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ it will be done.”
- Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. And even the hairs of your head are all counted. So do not be afraid; you are of more value than many sparrows.
- Although you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and rejoice with an indescribable and glorious joy, for you are receiving the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
- Train children in the right way,
and when old, they will not stray. - Even though you intended to do harm to me, God intended it for good, in order to preserve a numerous people, as he is doing today.
- Who, though he was in the form of God,
did not regard equality with God
as something to be exploited,
but emptied himself,
taking the form of a slave,
being born in human likeness.
And being found in human form,
he humbled himself
and became obedient to the point of death—
even death on a cross. - Though an army encamp against me,
my heart shall not fear;
though war rise up against me,
yet I will be confident. - A highway shall be there,
and it shall be called the Holy Way;
the unclean shall not travel on it,
but it shall be for God's people;
no traveler, not even fools, shall go astray. - Can a woman forget her nursing child,
or show no compassion for the child of her womb?
Even these may forget,
yet I will not forget you.
See, I have inscribed you on the palms of my hands;
your walls are continually before me. - I, I am he who comforts you;
why then are you afraid of a mere mortal who must die,
a human being who fades like grass? - Just as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life a ransom for many.
- Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you.”
- For as all die in Adam, so all will be made alive in Christ.
- But the one who did not know and did what deserved a beating will receive a light beating. From everyone to whom much has been given, much will be required; and from the one to whom much has been entrusted, even more will be demanded.
- Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, just as it is well with your soul.
- Those who withhold kindness from a friend
forsake the fear of the Almighty. - So faith by itself, if it has no works, is dead.
- So that, just as sin exercised dominion in death, so grace might also exercise dominion through justification leading to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
- Indeed, rarely will anyone die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person someone might actually dare to die. But God proves his love for us in that while we still were sinners Christ died for us.
- Before the mountains were brought forth,
or ever you had formed the earth and the world,
from everlasting to everlasting you are God. - The one who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming soon.”
Amen. Come, Lord Jesus! - For the whole law is summed up in a single commandment, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
- We have sinned and done wrong, acted wickedly and rebelled, turning aside from your commandments and ordinances.
- Indeed, the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing until it divides soul from spirit, joints from marrow; it is able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
- Bear with one another and, if anyone has a complaint against another, forgive each other; just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.
And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ has forgiven you.For if they fall, one will lift up the other; but woe to one who is alone and falls and does not have another to help. The Lord bless you and keep you;
the Lord make his face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you;
the Lord lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace.Next verse!With image
