- The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you all.
- Even though I wander
through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil,
for you are at my side,
with your rod and your staff
that comfort me. - In view of all this, you should make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with endurance, and endurance with piety, and piety with mutual affection, and mutual affection with love.
- And ‘to love him with all your heart, and with all your understanding, and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself,’ is worth more than any burnt offerings and sacrifices.
- Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise,
but he who mingles with fools will suffer harm. - Do you suppose that I cannot appeal to my Father for help and he will not immediately send me more than twelve legions of angels?
- The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.
- Have mercy on me, O God,
in accord with your kindness;
in your abundant compassion
wipe away my offenses.
Wash me completely from my guilt,
and cleanse me from my sin. - Guide my steps in accord with your word
and never let evil triumph over me. - The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.
- Then he said to all who were with him, “Anyone who wishes to follow me must deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow me.”
- Do not be conquered by evil, but conquer evil with good.
- He replied, “What is impossible for men is possible for God.”
- Jesus looked at them and said, “For men it is impossible, but not for God. For God all things are possible.”
- The Lord is with you while you are with him. If you seek him, he will permit you to find him, but if you abandon him, he will abandon you.
- Oh, that they would have fear of me in their hearts and they would observe all of my commandments always. Then things would go well with them and their children forever.
- For one believes in the heart and so is justified, and one confesses with the mouth and so is saved.
- The precepts of the Lord are right,
causing the heart to rejoice.
The commands of the Lord are clear,
giving light to the eyes. - If you refrain from traveling on the Sabbath
and from engaging in your own interests on my holy day,
if you call the Sabbath a day of joy
and regard the Lord’s holy day as honorable,
if you honor it by not going your own way,
serving your own interests,
or attending to your own affairs;
then you will find true happiness in the Lord,
and I will enable you to ride
upon the heights of the earth.
I will nourish you with the heritage of your father Jacob,
for the mouth of the Lord has spoken. - But I will sing of your strength;
when morning dawns, I will proclaim your kindness.
For you have been my fortress,
my refuge in times of trouble. - One who is covetous will never be satisfied with money,
nor will the lover of wealth be content with gain.
This too is vanity. - I sought the Lord, and he answered me;
he set me free from all my fears. - For I will provide the weary with all they need, and I will restore the strength of all those who have grown faint with hunger.
- Create in me a clean heart, O God,
and renew a resolute spirit within me. - It is better to have a little and fear the Lord
than to possess immense wealth and suffer anguish.
Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Rather, be kind to one another and compassionate, and forgive one another as God has forgiven you in Christ.Next verse!With image
