- Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.

at night his song is with me—
a prayer to the God of my life. - Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they will be filled. - I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me comes one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.
- I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
- Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.
- So we say with confidence,
“The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.
What can mere mortals do to me?”
