- When I said, My foot slippeth;
thy mercy, O Lord, held me up. - If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.
- Yea, though I walk
through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil:
for thou art with me;
thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. - Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
- For thus saith the Lord unto the house of Israel, Seek ye me, and ye shall live.
- I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep:
for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety. - The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised.
- Teach me thy way, O Lord;
I will walk in thy truth:
unite my heart to fear thy name. - For whoso findeth me findeth life,
and shall obtain favour of the Lord. - Make thy face to shine upon thy servant:
save me for thy mercies' sake. - And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.
- The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me;
because the Lord hath anointed me
to preach good tidings unto the meek;
he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim liberty to the captives,
and the opening of the prison to them that are bound. - He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.
- Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.
- But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me;
my glory, and the lifter up of mine head. - With my whole heart have I sought thee:
O let me not wander from thy commandments. - Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?
- He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
- I will never forget thy precepts:
for with them thou hast quickened me. - Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
- I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
- All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.
- Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?
- I have set the Lord always before me:
because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. - Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.
I have chosen the way of truth:
thy judgments have I laid before me.For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
