- Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil.
- And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. - This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.
- For who is God, but the Lord?
And who is a rock, except our God? - For who is God, but the Lord?
And who is a rock, except our God? - Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful.
- And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.
- And hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.
- If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
- So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.
- Give us this day our daily bread.
- For so the Lord has commanded us, saying,
‘I have made you a light for the Gentiles,
that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’ - And Jesus said to him, “‘If you can’! All things are possible for one who believes.”
- And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.
- All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation.
- So teach us to number our days
that we may get a heart of wisdom. - Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.
- Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, to build him up.
- The heavens declare the glory of God,
and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.
Day to day pours out speech,
and night to night reveals knowledge. - Do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat, nor about your body, what you will put on. For life is more than food, and the body more than clothing.
- Oh come, let us worship and bow down;
let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker! - Heal the sick in it and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’
- We love because he first loved us.
- For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.
- And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
