- For Yahweh is our judge.
Yahweh is our lawgiver.
Yahweh is our king.
He will save us. - Listen, my son, and receive my sayings.
The years of your life will be many. - Tear your heart and not your garments,
and turn to Yahweh, your God;
for he is gracious and merciful,
slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness,
and relents from sending calamity. - You shall not take advantage of any widow or fatherless child. If you take advantage of them at all, and they cry at all to me, I will surely hear their cry; and my wrath will grow hot, and I will kill you with the sword; and your wives shall be widows, and your children fatherless.
- My son, don’t despise Yahweh’s discipline,
neither be weary of his correction;

even as a father reproves the son in whom he delights. - But God, being rich in mercy, for his great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved.

Establish the work of our hands for us.
Yes, establish the work of our hands. - Until the Spirit is poured on us from on high,
and the wilderness becomes a fruitful field,
and the fruitful field is considered a forest. - For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are dying, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
- But when he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, don’t be afraid to take to yourself Mary as your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.”
- We know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.
- For one will hardly die for a righteous man. Yet perhaps for a good person someone would even dare to die. But God commends his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
- May Yahweh our God be with us as he was with our fathers. Let him not leave us or forsake us.
- I heard the Lord’s voice, saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?”
Then I said, “Here I am. Send me!” - Your word is a lamp to my feet,
and a light for my path. - For his anger is but for a moment.
His favor is for a lifetime.
Weeping may stay for the night,
but joy comes in the morning. - As far as the east is from the west,
so far has he removed our transgressions from us.
