- Taste and see that the Lord is good;
blessed is the man who takes refuge in him. - Each of us must consider his neighbor’s good for the purpose of building him up.
- He has satisfied the thirsty
and filled the hungry with good things. - Then you will understand equity and justice
as well as righteousness—every good path. - Test everything, and hold fast to what is good. Avoid every form of evil.
- The powerful suffer want and go hungry,
but those who seek the Lord want for no good thing. - The Lord is good,
an unfailing refuge in a time of distress.
He takes care of those who place their trust in him. - For:
“If anyone wishes to love life
and to experience good days,
he must restrain his tongue from evil
and his lips from deceitful speech.
He must turn away from evil and do good,
seek peace and pursue it.” - Fight the good fight of faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your noble confession of faith in the presence of many witnesses.
- How much more valuable a man is than a sheep! Therefore, it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.
- Now who is going to harm you if you are eager to do what is right?
- And the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I wish to make another creature who will be like him.”
- Seek good and not evil,
so that you may live.
Then the Lord, the God of hosts, will be with you
as you claim he is. - Jesus answered, “Amen, I say to you, there is no one who has given up house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or lands for my sake and for the sake of the gospel who will not receive in this age a hundred times more houses, brothers and sisters, mothers and children, and lands—as well as persecutions—and in the age to come, eternal life.”
- For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus for a life of good works that God had prepared for us to do.
- No one should seek his own advantage in preference to that of his neighbor.
- Who among you is wise and understanding? Prove by your good life that your works are done with the humility that comes from wisdom.
- We know that God makes all things work together for good for those who love him and who are called according to his purpose.
- I am confident of this: that the one who began a good work in you will bring it to completion on the day of Christ Jesus.
- A cheerful heart is excellent medicine,
but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. - Therefore, while we have the opportunity, let us labor for the good of all, but especially for those members of the household of the faith.
- How wonderful and delightful it is
for brothers to live together in unity. - One who finds a wife finds happiness
and receives favor from the Lord. - You intended to do evil to me, but God decided to make it serve a good, to fulfill that which today has come true: to keep alive a numerous people.
- Two are better than one:
they earn a far greater reward for their toil.
He gave himself for us in order to deliver us from all iniquity and to purify for himself a people as his own who are eager to do good. The proud man’s heart is not upright,
but the righteous man will live
because of his faith. Do not worry about anything, but present your needs to God in prayer and petition, with thanksgiving. Then the peace of God, which is beyond all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.Next verse! With image
