Chinese (traditional)- Go, eat your food with gladness, and drink your wine with a joyful heart, for God has already approved what you do.
- Direct my footsteps according to your word;
let no sin rule over me. - These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.
- Acknowledge and take to heart this day that the Lord is God in heaven above and on the earth below. There is no other.
- The Lord is my strength and my shield;
my heart trusts in him, and he helps me.
My heart leaps for joy,
and with my song I praise him. - As water reflects the face,
so one’s life reflects the heart. - Now I am about to go the way of all the earth. You know with all your heart and soul that not one of all the good promises the Lord your God gave you has failed. Every promise has been fulfilled; not one has failed.
- The integrity of the upright guides them,
but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity. - Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
- Create in me a pure heart, O God,
and renew a steadfast spirit within me. - May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart
be pleasing in your sight,
Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer. - I have chosen the way of faithfulness;
I have set my heart on your laws. - Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.
- A cheerful heart is good medicine,
but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. - Anxiety weighs down the heart,
but a kind word cheers it up. - But I trust in your unfailing love;
my heart rejoices in your salvation.
I will sing the Lord’s praise,
for he has been good to me. - Hope deferred makes the heart sick,
but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life. - Good will come to those who are generous and lend freely,
who conduct their affairs with justice. - Blessed are those who keep his statutes
and seek him with all their heart. - Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them.
- This is what the Lord Almighty said: ‘Administer true justice; show mercy and compassion to one another. Do not oppress the widow or the fatherless, the foreigner or the poor. Do not plot evil against each other.’
- Search me, God, and know my heart;
test me and know my anxious thoughts.
See if there is any offensive way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting. - A person may think their own ways are right,
but the Lord weighs the heart. - Teach us to number our days,
that we may gain a heart of wisdom. - My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit;
a broken and contrite heart
you, God, will not despise.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else, just as ours does for you. For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.Next verse!With image
