- Gracious words are like a honeycomb,
sweetness to the soul and health to the body. - Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul.
- Be not wise in your own eyes;
fear the Lord, and turn away from evil.
It will be healing to your flesh
and refreshment to your bones. - But when he heard it, he said, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick.”
- You shall serve the Lord your God, and he will bless your bread and your water, and I will take sickness away from among you.
- He heals the brokenhearted
and binds up their wounds. - A joyful heart is good medicine,
but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. - My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart
and my portion forever. - Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.
- Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, cast out demons. You received without paying; give without pay.
- Why are you cast down, O my soul,
and why are you in turmoil within me?
Hope in God; for I shall again praise him,
my salvation and my God. - Everyone also to whom God has given wealth and possessions and power to enjoy them, and to accept his lot and rejoice in his toil—this is the gift of God.
- Remove vexation from your heart, and put away pain from your body, for youth and the dawn of life are vanity.
- For while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come.
- Hope deferred makes the heart sick,
but a desire fulfilled is a tree of life.
But in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect. That according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love.Next verse! With image
