Chinese (traditional)- And she will have a son, and you are to name him Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.
- We are witnesses of these things and so is the Holy Spirit, who is given by God to those who obey him.
- And while they were there, the time came for her baby to be born. She gave birth to her firstborn son. She wrapped him snugly in strips of cloth and laid him in a manger, because there was no lodging available for them.
- But when they saw him walking on the water, they cried out in terror, thinking he was a ghost. They were all terrified when they saw him. But Jesus spoke to them at once. “Don’t be afraid,” he said. “Take courage! I am here!”
- After saying this, he was taken up into a cloud while they were watching, and they could no longer see him.
- Or have you forgotten that when we were joined with Christ Jesus in baptism, we joined him in his death?
- Then Jesus told him, “You believe because you have seen me. Blessed are those who believe without seeing me.”
- Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else?
- But be very careful to obey all the commands and the instructions that Moses gave to you. Love the Lord your God, walk in all his ways, obey his commands, hold firmly to him, and serve him with all your heart and all your soul.
- God’s way is perfect.
All the Lord’s promises prove true.
He is a shield for all who look to him for protection. - Then the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him.”
- When Job prayed for his friends, the Lord restored his fortunes. In fact, the Lord gave him twice as much as before!
- But be sure to fear the Lord and faithfully serve him. Think of all the wonderful things he has done for you.
- God’s way is perfect.
All the Lord’s promises prove true.
He is a shield for all who look to him for protection. - This is the message we heard from Jesus and now declare to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all.
- For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. First, the believers who have died will rise from their graves. Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Then we will be with the Lord forever.
- Why am I discouraged?
Why is my heart so sad?
I will put my hope in God!
I will praise him again—
my Savior and my God! - A sign was fastened above Jesus’ head, announcing the charge against him. It read: “This is Jesus, the King of the Jews.”
- But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.
- For you have been given not only the privilege of trusting in Christ but also the privilege of suffering for him.
- And Jesus said to him, “Go, for your faith has healed you.” Instantly the man could see, and he followed Jesus down the road.
- If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
- And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.
- Fear of the Lord is the foundation of true wisdom.
All who obey his commandments will grow in wisdom.
Praise him forever! - For the Lord your God is gracious and merciful. If you return to him, he will not continue to turn his face from you.
If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking.
