| When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O Lord, held me up. | When I said, “My foot is slipping!” Your loving kindness, Yahweh, held me up. |
| And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also. | This commandment we have from him, that he who loves God should also love his brother. |
| For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. | “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says Yahweh, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.” |
| Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. | Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. |
| But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil. | But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one. |

One who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him, and will reveal myself to him. |
