the earth is full of the steadfast love of the Lord. - Let love be genuine; hate what is evil, hold fast to what is good.
- The Lord, your God, is in your midst,
a warrior who gives victory;
he will rejoice over you with gladness,
he will renew you in his love;
he will exult over you with loud singing. - Beloved, since God loved us so much, we also ought to love one another.
- So now, O Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you? Only to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to keep the commandments of the Lord your God and his decrees that I am commanding you today, for your own well-being.
- Each of you, however, should love his wife as himself, and a wife should respect her husband.
- Let me hear of your steadfast love in the morning,
for in you I put my trust.
Teach me the way I should go,
for to you I lift up my soul.
