- Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love,
for I have put my trust in you.
Show me the way I should go,
for to you I entrust my life. - ‘Return, faithless Israel,’ declares the Lord,
‘I will frown on you no longer,
for I am faithful,’ declares the Lord,
‘I will not be angry forever.’ - While he was still speaking, a bright cloud covered them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased. Listen to him!”
- Heal me, Lord, and I will be healed;
save me and I will be saved,
for you are the one I praise. - Because your love is better than life,
my lips will glorify you.
I will praise you as long as I live,
and in your name I will lift up my hands. - Let those who love the Lord hate evil,
for he guards the lives of his faithful ones
and delivers them from the hand of the wicked. - Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
forever. - But you, dear friends, by building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.
- Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments.
- You are to be holy to me because I, the Lord, am holy, and I have set you apart from the nations to be my own.
- For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
- Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
- The Lord is with you when you are with him. If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you forsake him, he will forsake you.
- But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him,
on those whose hope is in his unfailing love. - Do not withhold your mercy from me, Lord;
may your love and faithfulness always protect me. - Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.
- I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.
- In peace I will lie down and sleep,
for you alone, Lord,
make me dwell in safety. - In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice;
in the morning I lay my requests before you
and wait expectantly. - If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations on earth.
- Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.
- Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.
- Not to us, Lord, not to us
but to your name be the glory,
because of your love and faithfulness. - Do not add to what I command you and do not subtract from it, but keep the commands of the Lord your God that I give you.
- When all the people were being baptized, Jesus was baptized too. And as he was praying, heaven was opened and the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: “You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.”
And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words.
