- What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.
- Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.
- And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
- If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
- In God I will praise his word,
in God I have put my trust;
I will not fear what flesh can do unto me. - Blessed is the man
that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly,
nor standeth in the way of sinners,
nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. - I have taught thee in the way of wisdom;
I have led thee in right paths. - So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
- In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust;
let me never be ashamed:
deliver me in thy righteousness. - And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
- A fool hath no delight in understanding,
but that his heart may discover itself. - Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving.
- For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand.
I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God,
than to dwell in the tents of wickedness. - But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ.
- And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
- No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.
- After this manner therefore pray ye:
Our Father which art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done in earth,
as it is in heaven. - Preserve me, O God:
for in thee do I put my trust. - For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
- Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
- I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
- For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power.
- If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.
- And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness:
God was manifest in the flesh,
justified in the Spirit,
seen of angels,
preached unto the Gentiles,
believed on in the world,
received up into glory. - My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord;
in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
