I have put my hope in his word. - The Lord is my light and my salvation—

The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger,
so why should I tremble? - For the word of the Lord holds true,

The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of all the earth.
He never grows weak or weary.
No one can measure the depths of his understanding. - So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.
- Joyful are people of integrity,
who follow the instructions of the Lord. - Let all that I am praise the Lord;
with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name. - The Lord gives his people strength.
The Lord blesses them with peace. - The Lord directs the steps of the godly.
He delights in every detail of their lives. - Come, let us worship and bow down.
Let us kneel before the Lord our maker. - For the Lord grants wisdom!
From his mouth come knowledge and understanding. - The blessing of the Lord makes a person rich,
and he adds no sorrow with it. - People may be right in their own eyes,
but the Lord examines their heart. - You must faithfully keep all my commands by putting them into practice, for I am the Lord.
- But the Lord is faithful; he will strengthen you and guard you from the evil one.
- The Lord is close to all who call on him,
yes, to all who call on him in truth. - For the Lord is our judge,
our lawgiver, and our king.
He will care for us and save us. - Fearing people is a dangerous trap,
but trusting the Lord means safety.
