- As soon as they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. Then when Paul laid his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they spoke in other tongues and prophesied.

he brings some down and lifts others up. - The blessing of the Lord makes a person rich,
and he adds no sorrow with it. - For the word of the Lord holds true,

with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name. - May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.
- Come, let us worship and bow down.
Let us kneel before the Lord our maker. - You must faithfully keep all my commands by putting them into practice, for I am the Lord.
- The Lord directs the steps of the godly.
He delights in every detail of their lives. - The Lord gives his people strength.
The Lord blesses them with peace. - For the Lord grants wisdom!
From his mouth come knowledge and understanding. - The Lord is close to all who call on him,
yes, to all who call on him in truth. - People may be right in their own eyes,
but the Lord examines their heart. - For the Lord is our judge,
our lawgiver, and our king.
He will care for us and save us. - I will praise the Lord at all times.
I will constantly speak his praises. - Fearing people is a dangerous trap,
but trusting the Lord means safety. - But the Lord is faithful; he will strengthen you and guard you from the evil one.
