Chinese (traditional)Bible Verses about 'Joy'
- I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.
- I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.
- Deceit is in the hearts of those who plot evil,
but those who promote peace have joy. - So that I may come to you with joy, by God’s will, and in your company be refreshed.
- A person finds joy in giving an apt reply—
and how good is a timely word! - Your statutes are my heritage forever;
they are the joy of my heart. - Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.
- My lips will shout for joy
when I sing praise to you—
I whom you have delivered. - But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.”
- You make known to me the path of life;
you will fill me with joy in your presence,
with eternal pleasures at your right hand. - May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
- The prospect of the righteous is joy,
but the hopes of the wicked come to nothing. - When anxiety was great within me,
your consolation brought me joy. - But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
- A wise son brings joy to his father,
but a foolish son brings grief to his mother. - The father of a righteous child has great joy;
a man who fathers a wise son rejoices in him. - In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.
- Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
- The vine is dried up
and the fig tree is withered;
the pomegranate, the palm and the apple tree—
all the trees of the field—are dried up.
Surely the people’s joy
is withered away. - Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”
- Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
- For his anger lasts only a moment,
but his favor lasts a lifetime;
weeping may stay for the night,
but rejoicing comes in the morning. - Go, eat your food with gladness, and drink your wine with a joyful heart, for God has already approved what you do.
- The precepts of the Lord are right,
giving joy to the heart.
The commands of the Lord are radiant,
giving light to the eyes. - I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.
The Lord is my strength and my shield;
my heart trusts in him, and he helps me.
My heart leaps for joy,
and with my song I praise him.A fool spurns a parent’s discipline,
but whoever heeds correction shows prudence.
