Know (2/4)

  • The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable,
    but the mouth of the wicked, what is perverse.
  • For I know that through your prayers and the help of the Spirit of Jesus Christ this will turn out for my deliverance.
  • And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
  • By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers.
  • I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life.
  • For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
  • For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality; that each one of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honor, not in the passion of lust like the Gentiles who do not know God.
  • So I will show my greatness and my holiness and make myself known in the eyes of many nations. Then they will know that I am the Lord.
  • And he humbled you and let you hunger and fed you with manna, which you did not know, nor did your fathers know, that he might make you know that man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.
  • Whoever keeps his commandments abides in God, and God in him. And by this we know that he abides in us, by the Spirit whom he has given us.
  • Therefore, as to the eating of food offered to idols, we know that “an idol has no real existence,” and that “there is no God but one.”
  • If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!
  • For we know that if the tent that is our earthly home is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
  • But I am the Lord your God
    from the land of Egypt;
    you know no God but me,
    and besides me there is no savior.
  • Know then in your heart that, as a man disciplines his son, the Lord your God disciplines you.
  • So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
  • Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.
  • You adulterous people! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
  • Know that wisdom is such to your soul;
    if you find it, there will be a future,
    and your hope will not be cut off.
  • But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.
  • Having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints.
  • So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.
  • But the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here, for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay.”
  • Walk in wisdom toward outsiders, making the best use of the time. Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.
  • I am the Lord your God; walk in my statutes, and be careful to obey my rules, and keep my Sabbaths holy that they may be a sign between me and you, that you may know that I am the Lord your God.

Know therefore today, and lay it to your heart, that the Lord is God in heaven above and on the earth beneath; there is no other.
