Let go (4/4)

  • Let what you say be simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything more than this comes from evil.
  • Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
  • Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.
  • Let no one seek his own good, but the good of his neighbor.
  • Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
  • Without counsel plans fail,
    but with many advisers they succeed.
  • However, let each one of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.
  • Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger.
  • But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.”
  • Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
    be acceptable in your sight,
    O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.
  • Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, to build him up.
  • Be strong, and let your heart take courage,
    all you who wait for the Lord!
  • Therefore you shall keep his statutes and his commandments, which I command you today, that it may go well with you and with your children after you, and that you may prolong your days in the land that the Lord your God is giving you for all time.
  • Restore us, O Lord God of hosts!
    Let your face shine, that we may be saved!
  • For if you truly amend your ways and your deeds, if you truly execute justice one with another, if you do not oppress the sojourner, the fatherless, or the widow, or shed innocent blood in this place, and if you do not go after other gods to your own harm, then I will let you dwell in this place, in the land that I gave of old to your fathers forever.
  • Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus.
  • “Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.” For it is not the one who commends himself who is approved, but the one whom the Lord commends.
  • Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you.
  • Since we have these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from every defilement of body and spirit, bringing holiness to completion in the fear of God.
  • So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.
  • Wait for the Lord;
    be strong, and let your heart take courage;
    wait for the Lord!
  • Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God.
  • Now then, let the fear of the Lord be upon you. Be careful what you do, for there is no injustice with the Lord our God, or partiality or taking bribes.
  • Walk in wisdom toward outsiders, making the best use of the time. Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.
  • Jesus then said, “I will be with you a little longer, and then I am going to him who sent me.”

Bible verse of the day

So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
