- Be exalted, O God, above the heavens;
let your glory be over all the earth. - Direct my footsteps according to your word;
let no sin rule over me. - If your brother or sister sins, go and point out their fault, just between the two of you. If they listen to you, you have won them over.
- But let justice roll on like a river,
righteousness like a never-failing stream! - Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.
- Jesus answered, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”

- Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.
- Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
- You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.
- Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen:
to loose the chains of injustice
and untie the cords of the yoke,
to set the oppressed free
and break every yoke? - The Lord has done it this very day;
let us rejoice today and be glad. - Jesus said, “Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’”
- May your unfailing love be with us, Lord,
even as we put our hope in you. - He will not let your foot slip—
he who watches over you will not slumber. - Sing to the Lord, for he has done glorious things;
let this be known to all the world. - My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.
When can I go and meet with God? - Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.
- Who is wise? Let them realize these things.
Who is discerning? Let them understand.
The ways of the Lord are right;
the righteous walk in them,
but the rebellious stumble in them. - But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
