- For this, “You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,” and if there is any other commandment, it is summed up in this saying, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
- Train up a child in the way he should go,
Even when he grows older he will not abandon it. - But speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, that is, Christ.
- “For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways,” declares the Lord. - Teach me Your way, Lord;
I will walk in Your truth;
Unite my heart to fear Your name. - I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go;
I will advise you with My eye upon you. - For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake, this is the one who will save it.
- But there is nothing covered up that will not be revealed, and hidden that will not be known.
- But if you do not forgive other people, then your Father will not forgive your offenses.
- Keep your tongue from evil
And your lips from speaking deceit. - I delight to do Your will, my God;
Your Law is within my heart. - Each of us is to please his neighbor for his good, to his edification.
- For whoever wants to save his life will lose it; but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.
- Keep the Sabbath day to treat it as holy, as the Lord your God commanded you. For six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of the Lord your God; you shall not do any work that day, you or your son or your daughter, or your male slave or your female slave, or your ox, your donkey, or any of your cattle, or your resident who stays with you, so that your male slave and your female slave may rest as well as you.
- May He grant you your heart’s desire
And fulfill your whole plan! - Now it shall be, if you diligently obey the Lord your God, being careful to do all His commandments which I am commanding you today, that the Lord your God will put you high above all the nations of the earth.
- And you shall serve the Lord your God, and He will bless your bread and your water; and I will remove sickness from your midst.
- But if it is disagreeable in your sight to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves today whom you will serve: whether the gods which your fathers served, which were beyond the Euphrates River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living; but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
- Each one must do just as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
- Hear, Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord is one! And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.
- Repent and turn away from all your offenses, so that wrongdoing does not become a stumbling block to you.
- Not to us, Lord, not to us,
But to Your name give glory,
Because of Your mercy, because of Your truth. - And walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma.
- Salvation belongs to the Lord;
May Your blessing be upon Your people! Selah - He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things?
