But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. | However, God has revealed these things to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit explores everything, even the depths of God. |
But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children; To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them. | But from everlasting to everlasting the kindness of the Lord is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children’s children, with those who keep his covenant and diligently observe his commandments. |
Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children. | Hence, be imitators of God, as beloved children. |

And it came to pass, because the midwives feared God, that he made them houses. | God gave the midwives numerous families because they had feared God. |

No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him. | No one has ever seen God. It is the only Son, God, who is at the Father’s side, who has made him known. |
There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
