- For who is God except the Lord?
Who is a rock aside from our God? - O Lord, you are kind and forgiving,
filled with kindness for all who cry to you. - Not to us, O Lord, not to us,
but to your name give glory
because of your kindness and faithfulness. - Be mindful, O Lord, that mercy and kindness
have been yours from of old.
Remember not the sins of my youth
or my many transgressions,
but remember me in your kindness,
for the sake of your goodness, O Lord. - In the beginning was the Word,
and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God. - O Lord, do not withhold your mercy from me;
may your kindness and your truth keep me safe forever. - Only goodness and kindness will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
forever and ever. - What god can compare with you,
the God who takes away guilt
and forgives the transgressions
of the remnant of your people?
You will not allow your anger to fester forever,
for your delight is in bestowing mercy. - For nothing will be impossible for God.
- As for me, I trust in your kindness;
my heart rejoices in your salvation.
I will sing to the Lord
because he has been good to me. - Rend your hearts and not your garments,
and turn back to the Lord, your God.
For he is gracious and merciful,
slow to anger, rich in kindness,
and always prepared to relent from punishing. - Beloved,
since God loved us so much,
we should love one another. - The Lord will fulfill his plan for me.
Your kindness, O Lord, endures forever;
do not forsake the work of your hands. - For there is one God,
and there is one mediator between God and man,
Christ Jesus, himself a man. - Have mercy on me, O God,
in accord with your kindness;
in your abundant compassion
wipe away my offenses.
Wash me completely from my guilt,
and cleanse me from my sin. - In God, whose word I praise,
in God I place my trust and know no fear;
what can people do to me? - But as for me, I will look to the Lord.
I place my hope in God my savior;
my God will hear me. - Protect me, O God,
for in you I take refuge. - No one has ever seen God,
but if we love one another,
God abides in us,
and his love is made complete in us. - Your kindness is a greater joy than life itself;
thus my lips will speak your praise.
I will bless you all my life;
with uplifted hands I will call on your name. - My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit;
a contrite and humble heart, O God,
you will not spurn. - At dawn let me experience your kindness,
for in you I place my trust.
Show me the path I must walk,
for to you I lift up my soul. - My deliverance and my glory depend on God;
he is my mighty rock and my refuge. - If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person. For the temple of God is holy, and you are that temple.
