For he has dressed me with the clothing of salvation
and draped me in a robe of righteousness.

or a bride with her jewels. - Oh, what joy for those
whose disobedience is forgiven,
whose sin is put out of sight! - My victory and honor come from God alone.
He is my refuge, a rock where no enemy can reach me. - I will be filled with joy because of you.
I will sing praises to your name, O Most High. - He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress where I will not be shaken. - My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak,
but God remains the strength of my heart;
he is mine forever. - You light a lamp for me.
The Lord, my God, lights up my darkness. - What joy for the nation whose God is the Lord,
whose people he has chosen as his inheritance. - He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress where I will never be shaken. - You are my refuge and my shield;
your word is my source of hope. - May the words of my mouth
and the meditation of my heart
be pleasing to you,
O Lord, my rock and my redeemer. - One day when the crowds were being baptized, Jesus himself was baptized. As he was praying, the heavens opened, and the Holy Spirit, in bodily form, descended on him like a dove. And a voice from heaven said, “You are my dearly loved Son, and you bring me great joy.”
