- He called you to this through our gospel, that you might share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
- If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
- Surely he took up our pain
and bore our suffering,
yet we considered him punished by God,
stricken by him, and afflicted. - God is our refuge and strength,
an ever-present help in trouble. - To our God and Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
- But he was pierced for our transgressions,
he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on him,
and by his wounds we are healed. - Teach us to number our days,
that we may gain a heart of wisdom. - Our help is in the name of the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth. - For who is God besides the Lord?
And who is the Rock except our God? - For who is God besides the Lord?
And who is the Rock except our God? - Let us examine our ways and test them,
and let us return to the Lord. - You will again have compassion on us;
you will tread our sins underfoot
and hurl all our iniquities into the depths of the sea. - Grace and peace to you from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
- Come, let us bow down in worship,
let us kneel before the Lord our Maker. - The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.
- Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires.
- The grass withers and the flowers fall,
but the word of our God endures forever. - This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters.
- Some trust in chariots and some in horses,
but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. - And if we are careful to obey all this law before the Lord our God, as he has commanded us, that will be our righteousness.
- As far as the east is from the west,
so far has he removed our transgressions from us. - He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.
- But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
- Take words with you
and return to the Lord.
Say to him:
“Forgive all our sins
and receive us graciously,
that we may offer the fruit of our lips.” - But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ.
The Lord commanded us to obey all these decrees and to fear the Lord our God, so that we might always prosper and be kept alive, as is the case today.If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!
