To our God and Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen. So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.” You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am. Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know. About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in them. We have sinned and done wrong. We have been wicked and have rebelled; we have turned away from your commands and laws. The Lord God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them. When he comes, he will prove the world to be in the wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment. Wealth and honor come from you; you are the ruler of all things. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture. Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. So we fasted and petitioned our God about this, and he answered our prayer. The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. The Lord sends poverty and wealth; he humbles and he exalts. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited. Next verse! With image
