- This is how the birth of Jesus the Messiah came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be pregnant through the Holy Spirit.

To him be the glory forever! Amen. - Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.
- Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.
- There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able to save and destroy. But you—who are you to judge your neighbor?
- Then Peter said, “Ananias, how is it that Satan has so filled your heart that you have lied to the Holy Spirit and have kept for yourself some of the money you received for the land? Didn’t it belong to you before it was sold? And after it was sold, wasn’t the money at your disposal? What made you think of doing such a thing? You have not lied just to human beings but to God.”

The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer;

my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. - For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his. For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin.
- Who is he, this King of glory?
The Lord Almighty—
he is the King of glory. - Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
- The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,
and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. - For the practices of the peoples are worthless;
they cut a tree out of the forest,
and a craftsman shapes it with his chisel.
They adorn it with silver and gold;
they fasten it with hammer and nails
so it will not totter.
Like a scarecrow in a cucumber field,
their idols cannot speak;
they must be carried
because they cannot walk.
Do not fear them;
they can do no harm
nor can they do any good. - For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.
- He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created.
- For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
- The tongue of the righteous is choice silver,
but the heart of the wicked is of little value. - May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
- I remain confident of this:
I will see the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living. - For he guards the course of the just
and protects the way of his faithful ones.
